Within the driver settings, HP offers a feature called RLT, {Real Life Technologies} that supposedly helps printed images look more like real life. This option of the printer is useful in portraits. The H470wf printer can print 5.51 pages of black text per minute, one full page faster per minute over its predecessor. The 4×6-inch test pictures printed from this printer is smooth, but the colors are flat and lacked saturation, casting a gray shadow over the images.
